Phil Gurin

Phil Gurin is an award-winning Producer, Writer, Creator, and President & CEO of The Gurin Company (www.gurinco.com) and TGC Global Entertainment (www.tgc-global.com).

He is known for his exceptional ability to create, acquire, sell, produce, and distribute entertainment programs across the globe.  Gurin has won four Primetime Emmy Awards for ABC’s Shark Tank, an international Rose d’Or (Golden Rose) for the physical comedy game show Oh Sit!, and a Gold Telly Award for the 50th NAACP Image Awards.  His musical game show The Singing Bee remains one of the Top 50 most produced original formats worldwide.

Currently, Gurin is set to Executive Produce his 12th NAACP Image Awards and Season 3 of Canada’s Ultimate Challenge (also known as The League of Extraordinary…). He recently launched TGC Global Entertainment, an independent distribution company specializing in formats, entertainment, factual content, and documentaries.

For 10 years Gurin has been Co-Chairman of FRAPA (the Format Recognition and Protection Association), an international non-profit organization focused on global recognition of intellectual property throughout the television industry.   He was on the Board of Directors for NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) for 15 years.  He is also a member of the Writers Guild of America, Producers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America.

For the Television Academy Gurin served for 10 years on the TV Academy Honors committee (also producing its first 10 award shows), he has produced 3 TV Academy Hall of Fame award shows, and has been on the Producers PGEC for over six years.  He is now honored to serve as a Governor of the Television Academy for the Producer’s Peer Group.

A frequent speaker, panel moderator, and editorial writer, Gurin regularly shares his expertise on the world of formats and the international television business.

Gurin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Rachel Frimer

Rachel started her career in live theatre and small rock and roll clubs where she did everything from running follow spots to production stage managing. 

One of her earlier experiences was running National Video Center soundstages where she oversaw MTV’s foray into live television series. She was one of the first people hired to launch the Disney/MGM Studios as the Post-Production Client Coordinator.  Rachel took a leave of absence from that position to live and work in Lillehammer, Norway as the Post-Production Coordinator at the International Broadcast Center for the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Rachel returned to New York as the Supervising Producer of the MTV Studios and was an integral part in the design and launch of the Times Square studio where they produced 11 live shows each week, including the original TRL, in addition to specials and stunt programming.

Additionally Rachel has worked as a Line Producer on the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Broadway on Broadway, the Statue of Liberty Centennial Celebration, and the post 9/11 “Come Back To New York” commercial.

For 18 years she was the Vice President of Production and Producer for the Miss Universe Organization and traveled all over the world overseeing the Miss USA and Miss Universe productions.

For the past 5 years, Rachel has been the Executive in Charge of Production for the NAACP Image Awards.  She has been a Segment Producer for the Grammy Awards Red Carpet and the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Robin Reinhardt

A thought-leader in the talent-booking space for award shows, event programming, and  TV and digital series, Robin Reinhardt has been the top-ranking Talent Producer for such  major events as the Film Independent Spirit Awards, Primetime Creative Arts Emmys,  People’s Choice Awards and the NAACP Image Awards for over 25 years. Forming R&R  Talent in 2009, Robin remains respected industry-wide for nurturing celebrities and their  projects and has close relationships with all principal managers, executives and representatives in the entertainment community. 

Prior to forming her company, Robin spent 20 years at MTV where, as SVP, Studio  Relations & Celebrity Talent, she was instrumental in building and sustaining the  network’s relationship with Hollywood. Her initial duties of booking talent for their event  programming including the Movie Awards, VMAs, MTV Beach House, Spring Break,  Rock N Jock, New Year’s Eve as well as the full run of TRL, evolved into her helming the  channel’s integrated marketing relationships with all major film studio partners for the  ladder half of her MTV career. Working with the heads of Publicity and Promotion at each  studio, agency and related stakeholder, Robin led the charge for MTV in developing the  current revenue model for movie promotions and, as the MTV family of channels moved  away from music and into reality and event programming, led the network in finding new  ways to integrate movie releases and celebrity talent into its evolving lineup. In the  process, Robin made MTV a must for talent and the recognized home for creative  programming, promotion and marketing.  

Based in Los Angeles, Robin continues to further her brand with R&R Talent, booking  talent for Hollywood’s biggest events, series and podcasts. Additional projects include the  Peabody Awards, British Academy Britannia Awards, Visual Effects Society Awards,  Shine A Light: A 9/11 20th Anniversary Tribute, SundanceTV HQ at SFF, Beat Shazam,  Friday Night Vibes with Tiffany Haddish, and the Comedy Central Roasts of Charlie  Sheen, Roseanne, James Franco, Justin Bieber, Rob Lowe, Bruce Willis and Alec  Baldwin.


Greg Bohnert

Greg Bohnert’s career has taken him on many shows around the world, including live network specials such as The Academy Awards, Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants, and a live late night talk show. Greg worked alongside The Gurin Company as the Executive In Charge for Friday Night Vibes with Tiffany Haddish. In addition, he has worked on many game shows and reality shows like Temptation Island, The Mole, Skin Wars: Fresh Paint, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Mall Masters, Shop Til You Drop, True Beauty, School Pride, Top Design, Jerseylicious and countless others. Greg started Bonz Squared Productions with his brother in 2000 after both having achieved individual success throughout television production. He has also written feature films, developed numerous television shows in all genres, including animation, sitcoms, game shows and reality shows.


Narumi Inatsugu

Narumi Inatsugu is a producer, storyteller, director, and editor who has worked on some of the biggest award shows in Hollywood, including the Emmys, Teen Choice Awards, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, MTV Movie Awards, and the NAACP Image Awards.

In addition to his work on those iconic programs,  Narumi was an executive producer on the hit cult movie, Samurai Cop 2, has edited over 350 episodes of American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Voice, and served as creative director for Fuel TV under the Fox Sports umbrella, leading the development and execution of all creative related to promotion, advertising, programming and packaging. He was a driving force in the rebranding of Fuel TV and its launch into Fox Sports 1.

 In 2016 he started Rumiville Inc, which is a full service production company that has produced and directed projects in all genres for every major network and streaming platform.

Sabrina Rufo Mishler

Sabrina Rufo Mishler has over 13 years of experience in the field of television/digital live events, specials and series. She has helped organize events across a variety of genres, from music festivals to award shows and competitions, as well as launches and benefits. She most recently served as Coordinating Producer on the NAACP Image Awards, Honoring Our Kings: Celebrating Black Fatherhood, Miss America and Miss USA. She has also produced benefits for Sharsheret and the Holocaust Memorial Center of Michigan, both of which went on to exceed their fundraising goals.

A native of Boston, Sabrina earned her B.A. in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College before moving to Los Angeles. She now splits her time between there and New York City.

Warren Pick

Warren Pick is a 12-time Emmy Award winning Producer, Director and Production Executive. Throughout his career Warren has worked on large-scale productions around the world in the areas of sports, entertainment, news, major event coverage and corporate programming. Warren has collaborated with all the major broadcast networks, premium cable networks, streaming platforms, fortune 500 corporations as well as marque sports and entertainment brands providing the highest level of production and programming services. Warren has consistently created and contributed to programming that brings innovative style and ground-breaking creative production techniques to the screen and garners exceptional ratings. Warren and his wife Linda reside in Los Angeles and have two adult children. When not busy in a TV control room or on location leading crews on various productions Warren has spent countless hours helping his community as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, ski patroller and rescue diver.

Director of Development

Grace O’Doherty

Grace is a graduate of UC Berkeley, where she designed her own major called “Psychocinematics” by fusing Cognitive Science, Psychology and Film. Through specialized coursework and a senior thesis, she explored what happens in the brain when audiences are presented with content spanning the genre spectrum. From taking courses such as Color Theory and Perception, she delved into Film, TV & Media studies through a scientific lens.

Outside the library, Grace jumpstarted her professional career with internships at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live in New York. After graduating from Cal in 2017, Grace moved back to New York City and started climbing the production ladder full-time. First working as a Production Assistant and ultimately reaching the Producer level, Grace worked on a variety of shows and projects. Her production credits range from MTV’s TRL in the heart of Times Square to a sketch comedy show taped in Provo, Utah.

Equipped with a strong background in production, Grace is now moving towards a career in development. By working with production companies, networks and studios, she aims to help craft the next generation of stories that are produced and spotlight the voices of underrepresented writers. Grace also has a special interest in developing content for overseas audiences. Having spent significant time in Mumbai, India and the Czech Republic, Grace is excited to help expand the slate of globally focused shows at The Gurin Company as the Director of Development.

Talent Executive

Katie Carlin

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Katie is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, majoring in Screenwriting (Film & Television).  During college, through several internships, she began her career in scripted series.

After transitioning into Variety, Live Events, and Awards shows, she has spent the last 15+ years building a name for herself as a Talent Executive.  Having worked in production management, Katie recognizes the needs of producers and the entire production team, making her the perfect liaison between producers, directors, and the talent. Working with talent publicists and other representatives of the talent team she’s able to convey the creative aspects as well as coordinate the logistics for the events.

Some of her many credits include ​NAACP Image Awards, That’s My Jam with Jimmy Fallon, Kids’ Choice Awards, Hairspray Live!, Stand Up to Cancer, Friday Night Vibes with Tiffany Haddish, SundanceTV HQ, Critics Choice Awards, Barack Obama’s Kids’ Inaugural Concert, and the People’s Choice Awards.

Antares Vargas

Antares Vargas is a passionate storyteller, artist, and proud Mexican immigrant with the heart of an entrepreneur. She attended USC Marshall Business School and ended up working in the entertainment industry writing, producing, and editing television content. She has produced and edited shows for many major networks and streaming platforms including Amazon, HBO, Fox, Disney, TBS, NFL, BET and OWN.

When she isn’t on set or in post-production, you can find her with a camera in hand capturing moments, people, and places. She uses her photography to tell stories through visual journals and recently found NFTs as a way to distribute her art all over the world.

In 2017, she launched her production company Keep That Productions, to tell the stories of underrepresented communities and uplift their voices & experiences.

Executive Assistant

Tori Purcell

Tori is a graduate of Emerson College where they received a B.A in Visual Media Arts Production and a minor in Psychology, showcasing their expertise in both creative and analytical fields. During their academic journey, Tori developed a strong fascination with the profound impact of comedy on human psychology. To further explore this intersection, they pursued coursework in psychology, deepening their understanding of human behavior and emotions. Their minor in psychology provides a valuable perspective that enhances their work in the media and entertainment industry.

Tori’s experience spans various aspects of the industry, including talent, production, and development. Throughout their career, Tori has seamlessly blended their passion for comedy and their insights from psychology into their work.Their exceptional ability to establish connections with audiences, craft compelling content, and effectively employ humor as a dynamic storytelling tool sets them apart in the industry.

Whether it’s through their adeptness in writing, production, or performance, Tori consistently brings forth a unique blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a profound understanding of human psychology. Their ultimate goal is to channel these talents and experiences to make meaningful contributions to The Gurin Company, utilizing their skill set to create exceptional content that captivates and resonates with viewers.
